Minerals Species: Diamond (1.04 carat yellow octahedral crystal).
Location of mineral deposit: Oranjemund District, southern coastal Namib Desert, Namibia.
Description: Yellow natural diamond crystal with silky surface luster and octahedral crystal form. The crystal faces are convex due to secondary crystals faces on the octahedral faces. One corner has a indentation from where it intersected another crystal. No damage is visible to the unaided eye, minute edge chipping is visible under 20x magnification.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 6.5x5x4 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 6.5 mm.
